National of Bangladesh - born in June 1949.
After High School education from a semi Military Public School (Faujdarhat Cadet College), completed Graduation in Engineering.
Served in Private Sector industries for 3-4 years, then worked in Governement of Nigeria in various capacities prior to Joining UNICEF in 1985 as a WES Prog.Consultant.
Recruited as a WES International Professional in 1988 in Nigeria and thus the 20 years journey with UNICEF commenced. Later swiched to Supply, Procurement and Logistics - served in 11 countries in three Continents ( Afirica, Europe, Aisa - including the Middle east).
Will be residing in Austin, Texas, USA with wife and two daughters.
B. Sc. Engineering (Mechanical)
Then as WES Programme Officer - assisting Rwandan Refugees in Goma, DRC in 1994 immediately after the tragic genocide in Rwnada.
Began career in UNICEF effective 1963 and risen thru ranks until 1997 to depart as senior UN official. Blessed to work under leadership of great humanbeings like James P Grant and served children related programmes in Africa (10 years), India and Far East (13 years), Arab world (4 yrs) and HQ (7 yrs) in all departments of operations. Since retirement, privileged to work on short-term assignments almost every year in Africa, Arab world and Far East; great humane experience during Mozambique flood emergency/GAVI introduction (I think, in 2000) and Ethiopian emergency in 2006.
Third Level University Degree from USA (CA), with focus on human values in Management.
Leadership diploma from AIM, Manila, Philippines.
Working in Africa and Middle East. Great human experience during African emergencies that helped understand purpose of life on earth - to live consciously and courageously; to inspire with love and compassion; and to leave this planet in peace.
